MPT2710 MetroHub™ Wirless Video Hub
For Outdoor Fixed Applications

Overview
The MPT2710 MetroHub™ is an outdoor central hub for use with MicroPower Technologies’ line of wireless video cameras and is specially designed for multipoint-to-point streaming video applications.
It is an easy to install, reliable and high performance solution for connecting up to 16 remote cameras, such as the MPT2500 Rugged-i™ and MPT2600 Mini-i™, wirelessly.
These hub and camera products from MicroPower Technologies truly eliminate the need for wires for both power and data. They incorporate a disruptive technology that will drastically improve the adoption rate of video security cameras in consumer, SMB and commercial markets such as traffic monitoring. The ultra low power wireless link technology also enables a host of new applications such as event monitoring and miniature wearable cameras.

Standards-Based System
The MetroHub is a NEMA-rated IP67 enclosure with a 10/100/1000 Ethernet Port and two N-type antenna connectors to which the included antennas can be attached. The hub includes a 12dBi gain omni direction 2.4GHz antenna and a 9dBi gain 900MHz antenna which directly attach to the enclosure.
Supporting MicroPower's TrustLinx™ wireless air interface, the MetroHub provides control and coordination between all Rugged-i and Mini-i cameras which may associate with it. It then presents the cameras as individual IP addressable devices or as TCP ports within the same IP address. Video can be streamed as H.264 or MJPEG using Multicast, Unicast, HTTP or RTSP/RTP over UDP or TCP.
Rapid Deployment
Rapid setup and immediate network deployment of the MPT2710 MetroHub and associated cameras – without the need for power or data cables – gives security organizations and professionals a powerful weapon to combat threats and crime.
Whether called upon to secure public events including parades, celebrations, sport venues and concerts; or to monitor critical transportation facilities such as ports, rail yards and airports; or to protect high-value sites such as dams, utility grids, pipelines, and public works systems, the MPT2710 MetroHub wireless video hub is the right asset for the mission by an order of magnitude. At less than 28 mW power consumption, this cord-free IP camera can last up to a year on batteries without being replaced, transmit up to one mile, and co-exist with IEEE 802.11 networks.
